The city has woven itself deep into the body and continues to create it. I am different in Jugla and different in Zolitūde. Or maybe — the city creates itself through me? The body scans the surroundings: bones align with walls, the internal atmosphere converses with the external. Things approach and recede. They open and close. It's impossible to tell where human skin ends and the city begins. We are porous. We come into being together.

In this workshop, inspired by philosopher Donna Haraway’s ideas of the posthuman “cyborg,” we will observe the body in dialogue with the city.

We will:
– Explore our “organs of orientation” and how they influence movement
– Sharpen our sense of composition with space-reading exercises
– Embark on choreographic research in the city streets
– Come together to share stories

Pilsēta ir dziļi iemudžinājusies ķermenī un turpina to radīt. Es esmu cita Juglā un cita Zolitūdē. Vai varbūt - pilsēta caur mani rada pati sevi? Ķermenis skenē apkārtni: kauli orientējas pret sienām, iekšējā atmosfēra sarunājas ar ārējo. Lietas tuvojas un attālinās. Atveras un aizveras. Nav nosakāms, kur beidzas cilvēka āda un kur sākas pilsēta. Mēs esam caurlaidīgi. Mēs topam kopā.

Darbnīcā, ko iedvesmojušas filozofes Donnas Haravejas idejas par posthumāno "kiborgu", vērosim ķermeņa sarunāšanos ar pilsētu. 

* Izpētīsim savus “orientācijas orgānus”, vērosim, kā tie ietekmē kustību

* Uzasināsim savu kompozīcijas izjūtu ar telpas lasīšanas vingrinājumiem

* Dosimies horeogrāfiskā izpētē pilsētas ielās

* Satiksimies, lai kopīgi dalītos stāstos
